5 Tips to Clean Your RV Interior before Selling
RV has many benefits, and traveling in it is great fun, but you want to sell it at some point in life. The initial thought that will come to your mind is, “what steps are required to sell my RV quickly?” cleaning your RV’s interior is a great step to start and helpful in realizing your main goal of selling it.
5 Tips to Clean Your RV Interior Before Selling
The following are the five cleaning tips to help you realize your main goal.
1- Use environment-friendly all-purpose cleaners
As you have to do a lot of cleaning, choosing an environment-friendly all-purpose cleaner is important. Environment-friendly cleaners are also great for RV’s interior and its environment. Such mild cleansers don’t damage the countertops, floors, walls, windows, and seals.
2- Use microfiber cloths for all cleaning.
Microfiber cloths are smooth and easy to go. These soft cloths help you a lot in cleaning dirt and mold without harming any of the interiors. Scrubbers and hard brushes can make ugly-looking scratches on the interior. One of my favorite ways to use these microfibers is for cleaning windows & mirrors, as they are absorbent and dry quickly.
3- Clean the ceiling and roof first
Both the ceiling and floor draw attention first, so start cleaning from the ceiling. Rinse the screens and remove any dirt build-up within the vent. Clean the roof, scrub the rust and re-paint if necessary. You can use a shiner after the ceiling cleaning to improve the appearance.
4- Clean both sides of windows
We usually clean the windows from the inside and forget to clean them from the outside. This makes things appear cloudier with filth and grime. While cleaning windows, don’t forget to clean the seals, as these are made of rubber and easily catch dirt.
5- Don’t forget the kitchen and fridge cleaning.
The kitchen and fridge both can take more time to clean. Use a mild dishwashing cleaner to clean the utensils. Clean the countertop and cabinet with a moist microfiber cloth. Use only specified cleaners for the stovetop. Empty the fridge and use mild soapy water to clean the fridge.
Some additional tips
- You have to do a lot of rigorous cleaning so the floor can get dirty again and again, so floor cleaning should be the last cleaning step.
- Door latches and steering tend to get dirty very quickly, so pay attention.
- Clean the bathroom with a mild cleaner to avoid surface damage. Don’t forget to sanitize the bathroom after cleaning.
Final thoughts

Many people consider it a tough and hard task, but by following the tips mentioned above, this tedious task will become hassle-free. So don’t forget to follow the tips mentioned above in detail.
